KUSALANG PROJECT

Kusalang Nursery School is situated in the bush, a 10 hour drive from our base in Serrekunda. This area is a farming community and the region is very dry and arid, money is very scarce. This school supplies education not only to the children from Kusalang village but also to children from 7 surrounding villages. We originally built a small kitchen, 1 large classroom, toilets and a storeroom. This is not big enough. Our aim for 2008 is
to rebuild a larger school with 3 classrooms, a new kitchen, and adequate toilets.
