Kusalang Village Nursery School is situated in the bush, a 10 hour drive from our base in Serrekunda. This area is a farming community and the region is very dry and arid, money is very scarce and children from this area had never had an education. After building this school with one classroom, toilets and small kitchen we discovered that children from seven villages surrounding Kusalang wanted to attend which meant the original building was not adequate. Our aim is to rebuild a larger school with three classrooms, a new kitchen, and adequate toilets for attendance by all children in the area, we hope this project will be completed by the end of 2011.
